Hi there, I'm Chiara

I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat living in Rome, Italy.

A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.

How It Began

Moving to Italy wasn't in our long-range plans. Like many expat transitions, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.

The initial few months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than expected.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the fly. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt secure.

Why I Built Voyage Atlas Studio

Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Italy.

What This Website Represents (And What It Doesn't)

This site is:

  • Real-world experience from living in Italy
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever there is a meaningful change

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • A sponsored review platform
  • An ordinary travel blog

Moving Forward

Our time in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Chiara
